‘If there are two production houses in Bollywood that continue to churn out medium budget films at break neck speed, they are RGV's Factory and Mukesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films. The family affair of producer Mukesh Bhatt, presenter Mahesh Bhatt and hero Emraan Hashmi come together again for ' Zeher - A Love Story ' that stars Shamita Shetty and Udita Goswami ( Paap ) as the lead heroines. With the first two promos declaring Shamita Shetty as the one who has aborted her baby and Udita Goswami as the other who is expecting one, ' Zeher ' should be one worrisome ride for Emraan trapped between two ladies. With music by Roop Kumar Rathod (most of whose work has been recreated by other composers in the movie) and lyrics by Saeed Quadri, ' Zeher ' has Mohit Suri making his debut as a director.

Melody is the key highlight of Anu Malik recreated track ' Agar Tum Mil Jaayo ' that is sung beautifully by Shreya Ghoshal. With slight shades and feel of the numbers from ' Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayi', 'Agar Tum Mil Jaayo' also boasts of good lyrics. Overall the number is quite soothing and can he heard at a stretch on a rainy day. A very good start to the album, that's the reason why the number keeps making intermittent appearances with an ' Instrumental ' in the middle and then twice as a full length solo by Udit Narayan. Not that the version by Shreya Ghoshal is not impressive but is the age old charm of Udit Narayan that takes the song 10 steps further!

Composers Mithun Sharma and Naresh Sharma recreate ' Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein ', another melodious love song sung marvelously by newcomer Atif. One instantly welcomes the new voice as it is quite original, conveys emotions perfectly and makes the number immensely enjoyable. A soft pop track, it has enough potential to come at least close to ' Bheege Hoth Tere ', if not surpass it. Kudos to the team of composers, lyricist and the singer for coming out with this touching number.

Shakeel Azmi writes ' Jaane Ja Jaane Ja ' that has not been touched by any other composer and is a complete Roop Kumar Rathod number. On the lines of 'Oh My Love! Where We I Go Without You?', it is a fine love song that fits the romantic genre of music quite well. Udit Narayan and Shreya Ghoshal are competent as usual in this soft number that continues the mood of the earlier numbers.

Shakeel Azmi also writes ' Aye Bekhabar ' that is about the male protagonist expecting his beloved to 'Look at him, Love him, but not to Ignore him'. A kind of composition that we have heard in recent Rathod movies ( Madhoshi, Tezaab (new)), it even has KK sounding like the composer Rathod at places. Overall just an average number that doesn't quite register well for one to hear it day in and night out!

The excitement is back pretty soon with the DJ Mix of ' Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein ' by D.J.Suketu that has arrangements by Hycinth D'Souza. The result is the same as one gets interested in the proceedings, this time due to a foot tapping arrangement instead of the soft pop, as in the original.

This is one of those rare albums where even the repetition of a single track ( Agar Tum Mil Jaayo ) throughout the album doesn't make you feel cheated! ' Zeher ' has a limited number of songs and majority of them are nice, melodious and quite catchy. You can still go ahead and present ' Zeher ' (the album) to your loved one! Chances are good that (s)he won't mind it.
